Hey folks,

Pam sent this e-mail out this morning, thought I’d post it verbatim for your info. here. See you tonight.

A few things:

1. ITT heats are now posted: Click here. Unless your time conflicts with a time that was written on your registration form, there is no changing heat times!

2. Jersey and Pit Meeting tonight. Women @ 8:30pm, Men @ 9:30pm: BU 223. Remember to come with helmet sizes for your riders.

3. Practice Start during track practice tomorrow, someone from your team must be present or you will get a race day penalty.

4. Pit Board Pick Up: Tuesday, March 31st from 4-8pm. It is at the old State Police post at the corner of Fee and the Bypass.

Quals 2009: All the goodness you’ll ever need

March 26, 2009

Look, a sweet quals run (If you listen closely, you can hear Chris Chartier in the background):

Quals times for all teams, it’s in .pdf form, so it will probably slow down your computer. Not mine though.

And for good measure, Will Ferrell as Neil Diamond. Forever in blue jeans: Read the rest of this entry »

Quals meeting tonight

March 23, 2009

Remember, Qualifications meeting tonight in BU 223 at 8:30 p.m. All teams must be present to draw a qualification time for Saturday.

A few schedule reminders

March 1, 2009

Hey all,

Just wanted to remind everyone that the track is now totally open for everyone, and the schedule is as usual:

Monday: Women early, Men late
Tuesday: Men early, Women late
Wednesday: Men early, Women late
Thursday: Women early, Men late
Friday: Men went early last Friday, so women will be early this Friday, and we’ll rotate from there.

Also, keep in mind that Spring Break is coming, and all teams staying need to make sure IUSF knows they will be staying. It’s a great opportunity to work on fundamentals and get plenty of track time in.

Lastly, if you plan on using your race bikes for Quals, make sure you get them built out quickly, so as to avoid any last-minute rush. The bike shops around town can help you out, or just talk to a Rider’s Council member if that doesn’t work for some reason.

Stay safe, and take it easy.

Hello world!

Snapshot of the 2005 Little 500

That’s the title WordPress gives the first post, and it seems apropos enough to leave it that way. This space/blog/site/whatever can serve as an online tool for us to use to make announcements — daily if necessary — and set up presentations like the videos at team captain’s meetings and such.

We can all access the site, just register with WordPress and I can get you a login. I have a very basic knowledge of HTML, but I’m plenty enough familiar with the WordPress engine to teach anyone the basics of how to use it.

Anyway, let me know what you think of the idea of using this. It’s free to use, and I figure it couldn’t hurt. I’ll play around with it more (Val, help me out. I know you know this better than me).

Take it easy, folks.
